Monkey has been asking to do some art for the past few days. I'll never say no to that request! I've had this idea in the back of my head for a while so it seemed like a good time.
Supplies: paint, combs, paper
I found a pack an eight pack of combs at the dollar store.
To get ready, Monkey helped me squeeze the paint onto the paper.
We put three drops of each colour to start.
Then he grabbed the first comb and got to work.
He used all the different sizes of combs to spread the paint back and forth.
At this point I realized I should have taped the paper to the table so we stopped to do that. Then I didn't have to hold it for Monkey.
I suggested that he could move the combs up and down, too.
We stopped again to add more drops of paint to the paper because Monkey wasn't ready to be finished yet.
I really like the way this turned out. The lines from the teeth of the combs look so neat.
Someone special is going to get this for a birthday card...
